How We’re Keeping Your Home Healthy Right Now – And Always

Mar 10, 2020

Right now, having your home professionally cleaned and sanitized is more important than ever.

While there’s a lot of noise in the world right now about a certain virus (you’ve heard, right?), we wanted to take a moment to remind our customers that not only are we taking all of the recommended precautions to keep your family safe and healthy, but we are always taking these precautions. Not only does being cautious about spreading germs help to keep you healthy, but it helps to keep our team members here at Sandia Green Clean safe, too.

Right now, the CDC says that the best precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus (or any virus) is a thorough twenty seconds of hand washing several times a day.

Our teams always wash their hands as soon as they enter a home — and again when they leave. They also wear gloves when they clean your home, whether they’re vacuuming or making your bed. The same hand washing protocol happens at our office when teams arrive and before they leave. This procedure isn’t any different than how we normally operate because we care about keeping you healthy! (And we hope it’s not unusual for you to do the same, too.)

We are also offering our employees paid sick leave during this time to ensure that they are able to stay home if they are not feeling well.

As a cleaning business, our goal is always to keep our customers and our team members healthy. So, while the current climate makes everyone take another look at what they’re doing to prevent illness and the spread of viruses, we’re taking the necessary precautions every day so that you can feel confident (and safe) whenever our teams enter your home. Other local businesses and schools are using professional cleaning services as a way to help prevent the spread of the virus. We believe that our house cleaning service here in Albuquerque provides the same preventative measures and is even more important now than it was in prior months.

The CDC is also recommending that you:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

This last step is exactly where we come in! Because our cleaning procedures are so thorough, we make sure to clean every surface in your home, even those hard-to-reach (or hard-to-remember) ones that you forget when you clean up and tidy your home.

At the end of the day, our main goal at Sandia Green Clean helps to keep your home clean — always. And, because of our teams’ hard work, we help to keep you and your family healthy, too.

Yes, there are a lot of conversations happening around the corona virus right now, but it’s important to keep it in perspective. As of Wednesday, March 11 at 10:40 a.m. NMDOH was reporting three confirmed positive cases of coronavirus in New Mexico with a total of 90 individuals tested.

If you have further questions or concerns about the coronavirus in New Mexico, please use this NM state hotline: 855-600-3453. We are closely monitoring this situation and will continue to follow recommendations provided by local, state, and national organizations in order to keep our customers and our employees safe.

Together, we can all stay healthy — and clean — so that you can continue to #claimyourweekend!
